![]() Didn't have to go to the sides to increase the range. Previously I started from the dirt arena nearby. I finally finished this weeks danger sign in a rally/offroad car by starting from the highway and transitioning to the path of the jump. I am not able to progress in the Extreme E competition in the weekly playlist. I am much more used to low weight cars in the game. But I'm left wanting a little something extra.Įxtreme E handling seems a bit sluggish. It's a lot like all of Forza Horizon 5 has been. And I'm not a big fan of the bumpy track segments that are just bumpy for the heck of it, either. (The high-banked high-G volcano turn that is not magnetized stands out - I think it feels more dangerous than it is, but it's well done.) But, on the downside, with the way all Hot Wheels track is shaped, it encourages sloppy driving a bit too much. And there are a few signature segments of track. The water slide sections are new and fun. ![]() ![]() To be fair, it's hard to innovate much within Hot Wheels. It's kind of all the same Hot Wheels track pieces we've seen before and laid out in somewhat uninspired fashion. Arctic, Greenery, Volcano, Cliffs and Waterfalls, etc. It didn't take me too long to unlock the S2 challenges which was good because that is needed for the Hot Wheels seasonals. Bit crazy to have it in a car, but I like it.įor an overall grade, I give it a sound B. Some recent Eventlab seasonal events got so confusing that you really weren't sure which way was up, but this solves that easily. We'll see.Īlso, the indicator for orientation of the car is probably a really good idea. However I'm sure just like the Lego expansion there will be some really silly accolades/missions in there which will make full completion annoying. In terms of event structure, the combination of race classes (B-X -> just like FH3 except with added X) and accolades (now called missions) seems good to me. Grip levels for the normal orange surfaces do seem higher than I remember from FH3, which is no bad thing - gives a greater feeling of control. I like how races are not just using the orange track but also mix in the ground below (something which FH3's expansion didn't do). I like the fact that it has ice surfaces. The Hot Wheels expansion so far: It's really pretty. My manufacturer bonuses didn't change, no free money for me (checked on PC as well).
